Season of Creation 2025

The World Evangelical Alliance (WEA) gladly joins with other Christians across traditions in observing the Season of Creation (September 1–October 4), a global time of prayer and action for God’s gift of creation and our common home. This year’s theme, “Peace with Creation,” invites Christians to seek reconciliation and renewal of our broken relationship with God, with others, and with the earth God entrusted to us to care for—remembering Genesis 2:15, where humanity is called to “tend and keep” the earth. Symbolized by the Garden of Peace and the dove with an olive branch, the season reminds us of God’s covenant of renewal and our vocation as faithful stewards

For evangelicals, caring for creation is not optional but central to discipleship. Through the WEA Sustainability Center and Lausanne/WEA Creation Care Network (LWCNN), we encourage churches and evangelicals worldwide to integrate creation care into our discipleship, worship, teaching, and community life—through prayer, service, Bible engagement, sustainable practices, and advocacy for environmental justice, especially for the most vulnerable. As a global fellowship of 600 million believers, we invite you to celebrate, pray, and act during this Season of Creation, embodying peace with creation as a witness to the Gospel and a sign of hope to the world.

Find resources for prayer and action at the Season of Creation website.
