The General Secretary of the German Evangelical Alliance, Dr. Reinhardt Schink, visited the World Evangelical Alliance Sustainability Center (WEASC) in Bonn on Friday, 18 October 2019. In meetings with the WEASC's director, Matthias Boehning, and Prof. Dr. Thomas Schirrmacher, Associate Secretary General of the World Evangelical Alliance (WEA) for Theological Concerns, Dr. Schink discussed closer cooperation in the field of creation care — linking the WEA's global efforts with activities and initiatives in Germany and vice versa — and the potential for closer collaboration with regard to strategic liaison with UN agencies located in Bonn.
Since 1 May 2019, Dr. Reinhardt Schink has served as the German Evangelical Alliance's General Secretary, following his predecessor Hartmut Steeb.
